Message from the organisers
Goslings London is proud to invite you to our forthcoming international tournament between 2-3rd September 2022. As the leading LGBT+ badminton club in London we reflect the diversity and vibrancy of this city.
Goslings London takes great pride in organising international tournaments. This event will cater for all ability levels across singles, mixed doubles and doubles competitions. The event will take place at a fantastic tournament venue – the very training venue that was built specifically for badminton athletes at the London 2012 Olympic Games! We also aim to provide hosted housing for those who would like this.
And in addition to this, we have organised a brilliant social programme which includes a fabulous tournament party in Central London. Combined with the opportunity to win one of our glitzy medals, we believe you will have an awesome time competing at our London International tournament!
London is one of the most visited cities in the world with lots of great landmarks, an array of visitor attractions and a very dynamic LGBT+ nightlife scene.
Don’t hesitate to book now to be part of Goslings London Badminton International 2022! We look forward to welcoming you in September!
The London Tournament Committee
In order to guarantee an exciting, entertaining and fair tournament, please ensure your level classification fairly and correctly reflects your ability. The following criteria have been set for classification in London:
The team’s level will be determined solely on the basis of the better player’s level classification and results from recent LGBT+ tournaments (singles and doubles). Involvement in mixed or senator competitions will not be considered. It is the responsibility of each player/club to ensure that their classification is correct and their responsibility to inform the Goslings International Tournament Committee that their categorisation / grading needs to be amended at the earliest opportunity.
Gold medal (first place) winners at tournaments in London or LGBT+ tournaments of a comparable size (200 participants or more, for example, Hamburg, Berlin, Eurogames, Gay Games) since the last tournament are obliged to play in a classification level higher. The award of five medals (first to third places) at any LGBT+ tournaments over the last three years shall likewise result in a higher level classification.
