Make a note in your diary for the following dates:

Saturday 1 July – Pride in London (Central London)
Goslings will once again be marching in the parade to show pride in ourselves, the Club, and our community.

Saturday 8 July – Goslings Summer Tournament and AGM (CitySport)
Our annual doubles tournament will be back, followed by the Club’s Annual General Meeting. Players will need to register as a pair, so now’s the time to start thinking about who you may want to play with!

Saturday 2 December – Goslings Christmas Tournament (CitySport)
Our end of year celebration will be taking place slightly earlier this year, so any members wishing to complete at Frankfurt this year aren’t stuck between the two. Different from our Summer Tournament, players register as individuals and will be assigned to a team.

Advanced notice will be given for all of the above for when registration will open.

We’re pleased to announce that Goslings will be having its annual summer club tournament on Saturday 9th July, followed by the prize ceremony and AGM in the evening.
For members who are unfamiliar with the Summer Tournament, the format follows players competing as doubles pairing, rather than as large teams like at our Christmas Tournament. As such, players can either register as a pairing if you know who you would like to play with, or individually if you either do not yet know who you would like to play with or are happy to be paired blind (subject to availability).
Registration for the tournament will open up next Sunday, 22nd May at 3pm so start buddying up!

Following further easing of COVID-19 restrictions, we have now been able to resume our weekly badminton sessions.

All of our sessions are now open to players of all ability levels. Spaces at our sessions must be booked in advance via Eventbrite. Please see our page on Eventbrite for details of our sessions, or email committee@goslingslondon.com for more information.

Thank you to everyone for their patience during the past year! We hope to see you at a session soon.

Goslings Committee

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, Goslings London club sessions are not running until further notice.

Following the government’s announcement in February 2021 regarding the roadmap out of lockdown in the UK, we are awaiting further news on how and when we will be able to return to badminton.

Until then, none of our weekly sessions are running, and we are unable to accept new members.

We are hopeful that our regular sessions will be able to return later in 2021, and we will issue an update on our website as soon as we receive further news.

We thank you for your patience and hope that you’ll be able to join us soon.

Goslings Committee

Thank you for your interest in Goslings London Badminton Club.

On 25th July many leisure centres across the country will be re-opening their doors after months of lockdown. Despite this, we are sad to report that our centres will not be allowing any badminton events to take place in their sports halls for the foreseeable future due to their other commitments and plans. We are keeping in regular contact with the management to see when we can return and we are hoping this will be very soon. We will continue to work with Badminton England and Out for Sport to find ways to keep people active during this time for their health and wellbeing.

Please do review this site for updated information. We thank you for your patience and hope to have you join us soon.

Goslings Committee

In keeping with tradition from previous years, today a bunch of us would’ve dressed up and headed down to join our Goslings family members to march through this diverse City in the annual Pride in London Parade. We would be laughing, waving at the crowd and breathing in the vibrancy that would be in the air. We would be celebrating with others for our rights as a community in this part of the world and remembering our heroes, past and present, who helped us get here. We would be proud to stand with the family we’ve made in our inclusive and diverse badminton club, Goslings, holding hands and showing our love for one another to those around us.

Today whilst we can’t celebrate together, physically let’s wave that rainbow flag loud and proud for who we are and what we’ve achieved. To keep the love alive, some of us put together a short video to wish you a very Happy Pride season (see below).

Also, at 12pm Pride in London took over the Piccadilly Lights. Goslings London featured at 15.48.

Enjoy your Pride weekend and let’s remain ready to continue this journey for equality.

To all of you from your Committee, we wish you a fantastic Pride! ?️‍??

Goslings were lucky enough to bring home two awards at the Out For Sport 21st Birthday Awards last weekend.

Goslings won the award for Most Inclusive Club. And our chair, Ubaid-ul Rehman, won the Club Spirit Award – celebrating role models. Huge congratulations to Ubaid on his well-deserved win.

Congratulations also to all of the other winners. It was great to see the huge range and diversity of LGBT+ sports clubs in London.

See all the winners and read their bios on the Out For Sport website
